Job Title: Kitchen Worker - Kids Next Door

Hours: Varies, as scheduled
Responsible to: Director of Kids Next Door
Must be at least 18 years of age, have the ability to speak, read and write English. Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting children or heavy items (up to50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking and pass a work tolerance examination. Must pass criminal background check and drug test. Must possess maturity, good judgment, organization and like working with children and their parents.

Prepares breakfast and snacks for children. Get hot lunch from hospital kitchen next door, distribute in a family style manner to each classroom. Make sure all meals follow the child and adult care food program meal requirements. (Requirements will be provided for you) Must follow State and Federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation standards. Foods must be dated and labeled. Assures that food is stored, prepared, distributed, and served under sanitary conditions, and is maintained at an appropriate temperature throughout the process.

Position requires daily contact with employees, children in the child care center, and parents of the children in the center. Work will performed in a child care setting environment which will be well furnished, well lit, and temperature controlled.

Required to sit, stand and walk in sequences, often accomplishing several tasks at once. Required to occasionally life up to 50 pounds. Be able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Be able to step in and help out where needed.
