Responsible for producing external sales, focused on the creation of new sales through lead generation and increasing market share in existing markets while maximizing new business development opportunities. This person will also be responsible for evaluating customer needs, developing and proposing solutions, negotiating rate proposals, providing needed customer service follow-up, preparing sales correspondence as needed, and maintaining pertinent information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Promoting positive relations and conflict resolution with internal and external customers is also a key part of this position.
Job Requirements :
*Degree level qualification (or equivalent) either in business administration, marketing or a related discipline (preferred)
*Excellent sales and negotiation skills
*Effective customer service skills
*Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
*Motivated to reach results without continuous supervision
*Self-starter that enjoys being in control of their own success
*The ability to work calmly under pressure
*Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience
*Minimum of 2 years in the freight forwarding or transportation logistics industry
